  I bought a Multiplex Panda RTF which impressed me by the quality of the materials used and the electronics. When I assembled the plane I found that one wing was not flush with the fuselage but as the wings were locked on tight I ignored what I thought was a minor issue Unfortunately due to the weather I never got around to flying it for nearly a month and when I did on the second flight the wings seemed to collapse bringing the Panda down to earth. There was no damage to the fuselage but a wing spar was bent so that was the end of my flying after less than 5 minutes. As it was not possible to straighten the wing spar I contacted Kevin at Marionville who asked me to photograph the bent wing spar which I did as he said he would pass the issue on to the Multiplex distributor - J Perkins. After week I phoned Kevin and asked what was happening he said he had heard nothing from J Perkins and would call them and phone me straight back. I did not receive any phone call. Another week later I phoned Marionville and was told that J Perkins had said that if I thought there was a fault with the plane I should not have flown it but I they were told the length of the wing spar they would replace it. Clearly J Perkins have little understanding of the products they distribute as the wing spar is bonded into the wing and why did they need to be told of the length. I have now been asked to send both wings back to Marionville - how many phone calls I will need to make before I have a flyable Panda is anyone's guess.
